Virtual Book Display: Hispanic Heritage Month
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, observed September 15 through October 15, this virtual book display, curated by the library’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council, honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. The 2026 theme, “Unidos, Somos Más / Together, We Are More,” celebrates family, resilience, creativity, and community and recognizes that diversity strengthens our communities.
The books in this month’s display offer a wide selection of perspectives and themes, from family, language, and cultural traditions to migration, identity, activism, creativity, and belonging. Readers of all ages can explore picture books, fiction, memoirs, biographies, poetry, graphic novels and more. Stop by the library today to check out one of these titles and to explore the library’s broader Spanish-language collection and bilingual books for children, teens, and adults. Together, these stories celebrate both the diversity within Hispanic and Latino communities and the connections at the heart of Unidos, Somos Más.
