White Marsh Branch Temporarily Closing for Upgrades Beginning March 31
As part of our ongoing commitment to modernize library facilities, the White Marsh Branch located at 8133 Sandpiper Circle is set to undergo meeting room and restroom renovations beginning Monday, March 31. The branch's last day for customers is Saturday, March 29, which also includes the drop box. Any holds remaining on the shelves will be transferred to the Perry Hall Branch. Full operations are expected to resume in late summer. Customers who use White Marsh Branch are encouraged to visit Perry Hall Branch, Rosedale Branch or any of our other locations. The digital library is also available for customers 24/7. White Marsh Branch services, such as notary services, are also offered at Essex and Owings Mills branches. Passport services are still available at Arbutus and Towson branches by appointment.

“Our library branches must evolve with modern technology and features to meet the changing needs of our customers,” said Baltimore County Public Library CEO Sonia Alcántara-Antoine. From quiet study spaces to vibrant meeting areas for gathering and creating, our branches must be flexible, adaptable, accessible and inclusive—creating libraries that not only meet the needs of the 21st century but also inspire and empower generations to come.”
The current estimate of the upgrades is $740,000, which will come from Baltimore County Government and library budget. Children’s area improvements are being funded through Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library and its generous donors. A full list of upgrades can be found below.
