White Marsh Branch to Reopen July 14 After Building Upgrades
After a months-long renovation project, we are proud to reopen the White Marsh Branch, located at 8133 Sandpiper Circle, on Monday, July 14. Customers will be greeted with:
- A more open entryway
- A renovated meeting room
- Upgraded restrooms
- The children’s and tween areas have been refreshed for a 21st century experience.
Customers can start routing their hold requests to the branch starting Thursday, July 10.

“We are thrilled to reopen the White Marsh Branch and share with our community the renovations to the restrooms, meeting room and children’s area,” said Baltimore County Public Library CEO Sonia Alcántara-Antoine. “These updates follow our strategic goal of maintaining modern libraries where our customers can explore, learn, create and connect. I am proud that we can reopen the branch earlier than anticipated so that our customers in this community can get back to the services and resources they so enjoy.”
21st Century Library Updates

- New meeting room entrance after removal of the existing hallway wall.
- Updated meeting room with new floor, lights and paint.
- State-of-the-art audio-visual equipment in the meeting room.
- Renovated restroom facilities, including a family restroom and an adult changing station.
- Enhanced children’s section with interactive play elements, tables and seating for early childhood and tweens.
Welcome Back
White Marsh Branch staff are excited to welcome the community back. We have a full lineup of programs and services ready for you, including:
- Free summer lunches for ages 18 and younger, beginning on Monday, July 21. These meals are available Monday through Friday from noon until 1 p.m. and must be eaten onsite.
- Summer programming is back, kicking it off with the Maryland State Fair, Nature Club for Kids, Bookend Decorating and more.
- The Baltimore County Health Department is hosting free youth hearing screenings on Tuesday, August 19. Registration is required.
Today’s libraries are community hubs that offer safe spaces to receive essential services for free. Our goal is to provide modern, 21st century library facilities that are relevant and useful to 21st century communities.
