Hear What Customers Say
We spoke with a few of the customers who stopped by the 2024 book sale. Here’s what they had to say.

Baltimore City resident Erin Maultsby made the trip with her 10-year-old daughter, Eiza. “I come for the prices, and it’s a great selection,” Maultsby said. “I’m interested mostly in books for my daughter.” Eiza selected several books, including ones from the American Girl and Boxcar Children series.
“The literary fiction section is my favorite,” Katie Murray said. “I love essay collections, so that was a highlight for me. The people who donate have amazing taste. I’m so glad you guys do this!” She and Matt Goranson (pictured) were already loaded down with books by the time they made their way to the adult nonfiction tables.
Where the Money Goes
The Friends of the Towson Library Book Sale hit another new record in 2024, raising more than $21,000. Those funds helped with branch improvements, including paint and new powered tables throughout the library. It also funded several programs, like Baby Craft Time, Black Business Fair and Teen Chill Time, plus other branch needs.
