Virtual Book Display: Black History Month: African Americans and the Arts
Join us in celebrating Black History Month with a spotlight on African Americans and the arts! This year's theme, as determined by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, highlights the past, present and future of Black arts, as well as the depth and range of African Americans' contributions to the arts.
As stated in our anti-racism statement, Baltimore County Public Library is committed to amplifying the voices and stories of people of color through programs, services and collections. Join us this month by checking out the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council’s virtual book display. This display showcases the diverse realms of Black creativity, from theater and film to music, poetry, photography, painting and literature. We are also offering a host of programs across the County celebrating Black history and art.
