What are the benefits of a Teacher Loan Card?
The Teacher Loan card makes it easier than ever
for you to bring the resources of the library to your students! Here are the
basics:
- Loan period is six weeks for all materials, except DVDs,
videos, new adult fiction, and videogames.
- No renewals needed or allowed, as they are already built
into the six-week loan period.
- Registration is annual; library cards expire
August 31 of the current school year.
- No fines for overdue items.
- No charge for
placing holds, also known as
"reserves".
- If holds are not picked up, they will be subject to the $1.00 per item
Not Picked Up (NPU) fee.
- All other rules and procedures apply the
same as with your personal library card. A librarian at the Information Desk
can assist you with any questions about the use of the Teacher Loan Card.
