A unique and colorful sport, jousting is steeped in tradition and pageantry, and annual tournaments are held throughout the state. Jousting became the Official State Sport of Maryland in 1962.
Maryland Ravens, Inc.
Offers numerous opportunities for physically challenged individuals such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair softball, a youth/school outreach program for the physically challenged, and educating the general public of the needs, abilities and capabilities of the physically challenged. Programs benefit both disabled and non-disabled participants.
Maryland Senior Olympics
Since 1980, the State games have provided great competition and camaraderie for mature adults, and more than 2,000 athletes compete in the Maryland Senior Olympics. Age-group competitions are conducted for mature adults from age 50 into their 80s and above. Events are held for men and women in about 20 sports and more than three dozen events.
Reisterstown Sportsplex
Located in the Reisterstown Regional Park, this facility houses a NHL-size ice rink and an indoor turf field, and offers public and private indoor ice skating, ice hockey, indoor soccer, broomball and lacrosse.
Special Olympics Maryland
Providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons eight years of age and older with intellectual disabilities.

Maryland State Golf Association
