About This Branch

The Sollers Point Branch opened in the Sollers Point Multi-Purpose Center on December 19, 2011. The Center is a 28,900-square-foot, one-story LEED silver-certified building that includes a recreation center which is managed by the Baltimore County Recreation and Parks through the Watersedge Recreation Office,  as well as the 5,000 square-foot library.

About This Community

Sollers Point is a neighborhood in the Dundalk and Turner Station communities and shares much of the history of that area. The name may come from the Sollers family which is a long established family in Baltimore County. The "Raid of Sollers House" occurred on Sollers Point in September 1814 during the War of 1812.
