The Hereford Branch and book return drop are currently closed due to water damage from a burst pipe. A  bookmobile will be in the front parking lot on most days during the closing to allow customers to pickup hold materials, return materials, and to browse a small collection for checkout.
 

Onsite Bookmobile Schedule During Hereford Closing:

 

-Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

-Thursday from 12 to 8 p.m.

 -Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

About This Branch

Opening Date:  Opened in 1988.

 

Services:

 

This branch serves the residents of northern Baltimore County.  The full-service Hereford Branch offers a variety of materials, programs and services for all ages.  Technology resources include free wireless internet access, computer workstations featuring Microsoft Office software, and extensive online research databases.

Local History

The library maintains a history of the Hereford area as well as historical photographs of the Hereford, Monkton, Bentley Springs, Glencoe, Parkton, and White Hall communities via our historic Legacy Web photo collection. 

Friends of the Hereford Library

Mission Statement:

 

The Friends of Hereford Library (FOHL), a group of community volunteers, provide supplemental funds for the Hereford Branch of the BCPL.  In addition, we sponsor a monthly Book Discussion, work to promote and support library services and are actively advocating for a permanent, expanded Hereford library facility.  FOHL meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. except July and August: new members are always welcome to attend.
