Choosing child care may be one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Finding affordable, quality care that will meet your needs can be a difficult task but many resources are available to help you. There are a variety of child care options, including regulated center or home care, informal care, camps, before and after school care, nannies, au pairs, etc. The right option depends on you and your child’s needs. Responsible for all child care licensing activities within Baltimore County. This agency registers family child care homes and child care centers and monitors compliance with state requirements. Investigates complaints about both registered and non-registered providers. Conducts preliminary inspections of centers and homes. Provides help and information to people getting started in day care. If you intend to apply for a license to operate a family child care operation or child care center, you or your representative must attend an orientation session held by the Regional III Office.

World of Care is a day care center designed to care for 63 medically fragile children 6 weeks to 5 years who have a medical condition that requires daily nursing intervention, such as pulmonary insufficiency, I.V. therapy or ventilator dependency.
