Get to the Library by Bus
|
Even if you do not have a car, getting to the library is easy using the Maryland Transit Administration's Trip Planner.

Arbutus Library Currently, there is no MTA bus service directly to the Arbutus Library.
Catonsville Library Route 10 U.S. Route 40 and Rolling Road to Dundalk stops directly in front of the library.
Route 77 Old Court Metro Subway Station to Patapsco Light Rail Stop crosses over Frederick Road at Ingleside and Bloomsbury Avenues. Walk west up Frederick Road several blocks to get the library. The library is on the right.
Cockeysville Library
Take Route 8 University of Maryland Transit Center to the Lutherville Light Rail Stop and then transfer to Route 9 Lutherville Light Rail Stop to Hunt Valley. Exit the bus at the York Road and Gibbons Boulevard stop, walk down Gibbons Boulevard to Greenside Drive. Turn left on Greenside Drive and walk north one block. The library is on the right side of Greenside Drive across from Padonia International Elementary School.
Route 3 Cromwell Bridge Road Park and Ride to Sheppard Pratt Hospital to Inner Harbor and Route 55 Fox Ridge to Franklin Square Hospital to Towson University.
Route 23 U.S. Route 40 and Rolling Road to Fox Ridge and Route 4 Turners Station to Essex Campus of the Community College of Baltimore County stops on Eastern Boulevard at Marlyn Avenue. Walk northeast on Marlyn to the entrance of the Middlesex Shopping Center where the library is located. Route 55 Fox Ridge to Franklin Square Hospital to Towson University stops at Stemmers Run and Eastern Boulevard. Walk west on Eastern Boulevard approximately a half mile to the Middlesex Shopping Center. The library is at the far end of the shopping center. The following connecting bus routes have transfer points to the Route 23:

Hereford Library
Currently, there is no MTA bus service directly to the Arbutus Library.
Lansdowne Library Route 77 Old Court Metro Subway Station to Patapsco Light Rail Station stops at Hollins Ferry Road and Fifth Avenue. Route 77 Old Court Metro Subway Station to Patapsco Light Rail Station stops at Hollins Ferry Road and Fifth Avenue.
From these stops walk to Third Avenue and walk past the park to the library which is on the right.
Loch Raven Library Route 19 Carney to Downtown and Route 55 Fox Ridge to Franklin Square Hospital to Towson University stops at Loch Raven Boulevard and Taylor Avenue. Walk east on Taylor Avenue for about a quarter of a mile. The library is on the left in the wooded area next to the Pleasant Plains Shopping Center.
Route 3 Cromwell Bridge Road Park and Ride to Sheppard Pratt Hospital to Inner Harbor stops at Goucher Boulevard and Taylor Avenue. Walk east on Taylor Avenue for about a half mile. The library is on the left side in the wooded area next to the Pleasant Plains Shopping Center.
North Point Library Route 4 Turners Station to Essex Campus of the Community College of Baltimore County stops at the intersection of Holabird Avenue and Merritt Boulevard. The library is located in the Merritt Park Shopping Center at the corner of Holabird Avenue and Merritt Boulevard. Connecting routes include Route 10 U.S. Route 40 and Rolling Road to Dundalk and Route 20 Security Square Mall to Dundalk.
Parkville Library Route 19 Carney to Downtown stops at Fifth Avenue. Walk one block north to the library, which is located at Sixth Avenue and Harford Road, near the Joppa Road cut-off.
Perry Hall Library Currently, there is no MTA bus service directly to the Perry Hall library.
Pikesville Library Route 53 Old Court Metro Subway Station to Mondawmin Metro Subway Station stops at Reisterstown Road and Sudbrook Lane, which is approximately half a block from the library. Route 59 Reisterstown Plaza Metro Subway Station to Glyndon also stops on Reisterstown Road across from the library.
Randallstown Library Route 54 Milford Mill Metro Subway Station to Randallstown stops at the corner of Liberty Road and Old Court Road directly in front of the library. Route 77 Old Court Metro Subway Station to University of Maryland Baltimore County to Patapsco Light Rail Stop also stops at the corner of Liberty Road and Old Court Road.
Reisterstown Library Route 56 Glyndon to Owings Mills Town Center stops in front of Franklin Middle School at the corner of Reisterstown and Cockeys Mill Roads. Walk one block west on Cockeys Mill Road. The library is on the left. Route 59 Reisterstown Plaza Station to Owings Mills Town Center connects with Route 56 at Owings Mills Town Center.
Rosedale Library Route 55 Fox Ridge to Franklin Square Hospital to Towson University stops directly in front of the library which is located on the right hand side of Kenwood Avenue Shopping Center. The bus stop is at the main entrance to the shopping center. The library is located to the extreme right hand side of the parking lot. A number of bus routes provide connecting transfer points to Route 55: Route 24 Whispering Woods to Franklin Square Hospital to Essex Community Hospital, Route 35 University of Maryland Baltimore County to White Marsh.
Towson Library and Administrative Offices The Towson Library is located on the corner of York Road and Chesapeake Avenue. The Baltimore County Public Library Administrative Offices is on the second floor level of the Towson Library building. Route 8 University of Maryland Transit Center to Lutherville Light Rail stops on York Road at Chesapeake Avenue. Route 9 International Circle to Lutherville Light Rail connects with Route 8. Route 11 Towson to Canton stops at Towson Court House. Walk one block East on Chesapeake Avenue. Both the Route 55 Fox Ridge to Franklin Square Hospital to Towson University and Route 3 Cromwell Bridge Road Park and Ride to Sheppard Pratt Hospital to Inner Harbor stop at the corner of York Road and Joppa Road, three blocks north of the library.
White Marsh Library Route 15 to Perry Hall to White Marsh to Overlea to Downtown to Security Square Mall, Route 35 University of Maryland Baltimore County to White Marsh and Route 120 Downtown Baltimore to White Marsh run past the library. Route 120 runs during rush hours only. The bus stop is a little past the library on Sandpiper Circle.
Woodlawn Library Route 44 Security Square Mall to Rosedale Industrial Park stops directly in front of the library.
